COMMITMENT TO CLIMATE AND HUMAN WELFARE
On the 1st of January 2023, we signed our decision to become a Benefit Company, adopting a legal status that reflects our commitment to creating shared value for all our stakeholders. This transformation has also been made possible by our partnership with NATIVA, with whom we have embarked and continue to embrace this journey of growth and improvement.
The National Research on Benefit Societies 2024, conducted by NATIVA with a diverse group of experts, highlights the growing importance of Benefit Societies as an innovative development in the corporate landscape. Like all Benefit Societies, we combine the pursuit of profit with a strong commitment to delivering social and environmental benefits. This synergy is designed to create significant added value, with the potential to positively influence different sectors of the economy and ultimately the whole national system.
Here are some figures from the study:
-
Between 2019 and 2022, benefit societies will see more than double the revenue growth of non-benefit societies: +37% vs +18%.
-
Profitability, as measured by EBITDA margin, was higher for Benefit Societies (9% vs. 8.3%).
-
Benefit societies are characterised by higher productivity per employee, more investment in the future and a higher distribution of wealth to employees.
-
In 2023, the number of Benefit Societies increased by 37.8% compared to 2022, reaching 3,629 companies employing more than 188,000 people.
If they were a single company, it would be the largest in Italy!
AWARDED FOR INNOVATION: SL MODULAR MANIFOLD AND CLICK&SAFE FITTINGS TRIUMPH AT THE IF DESIGN AWARD 2024
Since 1954, the iF Design Award has been the undisputed judge of design excellence and is one of the world's most prestigious awards.
The recent success of our products in this international competition confirms the quality of our radiant heating and cooling components. A success that rewards the constant commitment to advanced design and which aims to simplify and optimise the work of installers by providing practical and intuitive solutions. Also paramount is the objective of maximising the performance and efficiency of radiant heating and cooling systems, ensuring optimal operation at all times.
In fact, our Click&Safe fittings are designed to facilitate the connection of radiant panel flow and return lines, enabling an efficient flow of hot/cold water. Thanks to the clever design, installation is quick and safe: just simply apply light manual pressure and fix mechanically with clips. READ MORE
The SL modular manifold is designed to manage water distribution in radiant heating and cooling systems. The Screw&Lock system and its modular and customisable structure allow easy expansion and assembly, offering maximum convenience during installation, without the need for special tools. READ MORE
This award fills us with pride and confirms a commitment that encompasses every detail of our production of innovative, high-quality radiant heating and cooling solutions.
E-GROUP SUSTAINABILITY ACADEMY
Enetec confirms its participation to ISH 2023, the world’s leading trade fair for heating, water, HVAC and energy, taking place in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) from 13nd to 17th of March 2023.
We invite you to visit us in Hall 6.0 / Stand B71, presenting our OEM radiant systems solutions: pipes, insulations, manifolds, ceiling boards and smart regulation products.
We look forward to welcoming you soon in Frankfurt.
GREEN NEWS, GOOD NEWS!
On 1st January 2023, Enetec Italy became a Benefit Corporation, an important milestone achieved with the precious collaboration of NATIVA.
Our company now also exists to make a positive impact on society and the biosphere. Also our long-term mission evolves and its project will be the creation of shared value, for people and for the environment. The Benefit Company is in fact a corporate form characterised by a triple purpose: responsibility, sustainability and transparency.
-
The articles of association have been officially amended and are no longer limited to expressing only profit objectives, but also all purposes of common benefit
-
Sustainability becomes an integral part of our business model and our cultural model
-
We take responsibility for creating long-term sustainable value for all stakeholders
-
We are committed to transparency: every year, we will take stock of the progress we have made and the milestones we have yet to reach.
In the long term, we are committed to three macro goals:
-
Promoting the well-being and growth of our people, through training and development, offering a fruitful, proactive and cohesive working environment, always taking their health and safety into account
-
Promote sustainable lifestyles among customers through innovative products, investing in research and development
-
Caring for and caring for the environment in which we live through the implementation of policies aimed at reducing emissions, waste, consumption and waste, as well as their proper disposal; and by choosing sourcing from renewable sources.
A journey we are passionate about, a commitment that will add value to our work!
A study published in 2001 by researchers from Lawrence Berkeley National Lab showed that people spend an average of 87% of their time inside buildings, and about 69% at home. These numbers show high importance of talking about the quality of indoor environments in modern society. Hence, it is essential to "raise the bar" of well-being inside buildings, pushing towards innovative ventilation methods based on air quality measurements, and on new control logics that preserve energy savings while improving the quality of indoor environments.
The general aim of NEW-AIR project is to systemize companies and research institutions operating in the field of quality and control of the built environment in order to define new approaches and technologies that improve the healthiness of indoor environments and thermal comfort by reducing energy consumption. The project objectives are:
-
To better understand the building-user interaction, and improve it
-
To improve indoor air quality starting from the removal of indoor pollutants
-
To study new control and design strategies for the aeraulic system
-
To promote natural ventilation and mixed mode in residential buildings
-
To ensure the highest levels of indoor air quality while reducing energy consumption
-
To define a home IEQ monitoring and control system
The themes proposed by this project respond to the need (highlighted by the Free University of Bolzano) for giving more space to areas of research and innovation in which it is needed to build the necessary critical mass. In particular, the proposed themes fall within the sector of provincial specialization called "Energy and Environment", and the project aims to deliver the following results:
-
New IEQ (Indoor Environmental Quality) monitoring system
-
Categorization of the major indoor pollution sources, and dissemination at the provincial level
-
Development of a system for controlled natural ventilation
-
New machine and new strategies for residential mechanical ventilation (VMC)
-
Control system capable of coordinating different systems and guiding the user: the residential "building management system" (BMS)
New-Air is a 3-year project which started in March 2019 and received 515,008.88 € funding.
INTEGRATION OF SENSOR TECHNOLOGY AND BIM
sensorBIM in the Italy-Austria Interreg Research Programme ITAT1083 integrates the long-range, batteryless wireless system developed in cryptolink with BIM models, simulation and building control in an economically viable and ecologically sustainable way.
The categorisation of the project aims to strengthen cross-border cooperation between companies and research institutes and at the same time improve the innovation base for companies. The focus is on the "building" system through the development of integrated hardware and software for building facades and systems for the construction and management of sustainable buildings.
The project addresses one of the most important technological challenges for the construction industry, namely the intelligent management of energy efficiency and building comfort. Through the application of Building Information Modelling and the use of RFID sensors, the design and operation of buildings will be optimised over their entire life cycle.
The aim of the project is, on the one hand, to develop an integrated platform that goes beyond the limits of current solutions (insufficient interoperability of systems, difficulties of application in existing buildings) and that can be adopted by SMEs or serve as a reference. Indeed, SMEs play an important role in the programme area.
On the other hand, the project aims to develop façade systems with intelligent control and new systems linked to sensors with RFID technology for system control. These systems will make it possible to drastically reduce the real energy consumption of buildings and improve the efficiency, maintenance and inspection of the elements.
